Rogue Legacy Released on Xbox One

The time has come to finally announce that Rogue Legacy is out for the Xbox One!

That’s right, everyone’s favourite genealogical cannon fodder simulator has been released for Microsoft’s latest console, so Xbox fans too can taste the pain of losing their loved ones hundreds of times! We hope that this version maintains our original vision and that Xbox owners new to the game have a blast playing it. If you’re on the fence whether to try it, check out our snazzy new trailer below:

Currently this is the last major platform we’re planning to release the game on, which means we can finally kick back, relax, and spend 18 hours a day fully focused on working on our next project. Look forward to updates in the upcoming months!

Hey-o yoyo,

So Rogue Legacy is finally making its way to the Xbox One, and we’re super excited to be bringing it to you guys! It’s been a long time coming, but we did our best to ensure the experience was as faithful to the original as possible. We worked closely with Abstraction Games and now we’re finally able to extend our legacy to fans on the Xbox One. The game will be available on Microsoft’s console on May 27, 2015, and we hope Xbox fans who have yet to try the game get a kick out of it. We’ve got an official post on the ID@Xbox blog if you want to check it out!

The Legacy is a Year Old!

1yearanniversary

It’s been an unbelievable adventure since Rogue Legacy launched exactly one year before today.  To commemorate the event, we wanted to leave individual messages to our fans:

Kenny’s Post:

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their support.  Not just letting us know you like our game, but being so patient with us and tolerating our growing pains as we fumbled through the first year.  We made our fair share of mistakes, but the unconditional love will ensure we do even better the next time (and there will be a next time!).

The experience has been entirely humbling, starting as a small team of nobodies to having fans from all around the world.  And the most exciting thing is that we’re not even done yet!  The PlayStation 3/4 and Vita versions are just around the corner, which we’ll be giving a firm release date to in the next two weeks.  It’s been in development for a while, but we’ve been working hard to ensure it is as genuine an experience as possible.  It’s closer than you think.

We can’t wait to see what happens for the next year, and we hope you’ll be there with us!

Teddy’s Post:

Hey everybody!

Man.  It feels like forever since we’ve released Rogue Legacy, but a lot has happened!

  1. We released Rogue Legacy.
  2. We announced the 1 year anniversary of Rogue Legacy.
  3. That’s it.

Rogue Legacy Nominated at IndieCade 2013

indiecadelogo_small

Hot off the heels of the PAX 10 at PAX Prime (which was awesome beyond words by the way), Rogue Legacy has been announced as a nominee for this year’s IndieCade 2013.  I know, we’re just as surprised/confused as you are!  A lot of questions must be brimming from this, like “How is Rogue Legacy a finalist?” and “Who did you pay off to get this?”  Unfortunately we don’t know the answers to those questions (or won’t say), but we do know that it is a huge honour to be part of this year’s awards.  The nominees this year look absolutely fantastic, with our hometown Toronto making a fairly sizeable contribution.  We’ll even be seeing some familiar faces from the PAX 10 (greetings folks at Gunpoint, Sokobond, and Towerfall).

Anyway,  if  you’re attending this year’s IndieCade, be sure to drop by and say hello.  The nominees look to be huge this year and our chances of winning anything are slim, so if you see us in tears just try to ignore us.
