Rogue Legacy One Week in the News

Hey all,

So, it’s been crazy this past week. Truly the craziest of the crays.

We just released our latest trailer for our game Rogue Legacy, and people seem to really like it! At least we hope they do and everyone’s not just being nice to us.  But who knows?

Anyway, last week everything took off when Reddit brought our game to the front page of r/gaming. Yeah!  Thank you Reddit!  We didn’t understand the appeal to karma points until now!

If you have the time check out the comments, we answer quite a few user questions in that post.

From there, we got picked up by a bunch of other amazing game sites!

Rogue Legacy on Greenlight!!

Holy shazbong, our latest game, Rogue Legacy, has now been posted to Steam Greenlight.  Where the heck did that come from?

We admit, we’ve been about as bad as you can be regarding keeping our fans up to date with our progress.  It’s all to make the game as best we can though, and the good news is the game is almost finished!  So it’s not a concept or a promise anymore, it’s the real deal and we hope you’ll take the time to vote for us on Greenlight!

Please vote.  Please.  Vote.  Vote please.

If our pleading isn’t convincing enough, why not check out the official trailer for the game below?

Pixel Artist Showcase

Greetings everyone.

We’re still working hard on our latest game, and though we don’t have anything new to show or talk about (Sorry!) the artist for our game recently posted a video showing off his skills in pixel art.  It is the fascinating evolution of what begins as a harmless stickman to an incredible and complex portrayal of pixel design.  The art is not from our game, but it’s a really nice piece and hopefully it will excite you to see our game, it certainly excites us!

If you’re a fledgling pixel artist looking to pick up some technique, or if you just want to see the birth of some awesome art, check out the link below!

Happy New Year – New Project Unveiled

We’d like to wish a happy New Year to everyone who still visits the site (and to those who don’t)!  We don’t blame you if your faith in us has wavered, since we’ve been missing for so long.

To (somewhat) make it up to you, we’re starting off the new year with the announcement of our new game!  Unfortunately we can’t release all information on it, but we can let loose some details along with some screenshots.  It’s a little rough around the edges because it is still heavily a work in progress, but we hope it’s enough to see why we’re so excited for it.

Now for some details:

  • 2D action platformer with a pixel-art look and feel.
  • Semi-rogue-like gameplay. Your performance has direct consequences on your hero.
  • ‘Lineages’ where traits from previous heroes are passed down to your successor.
  • Procedurally generated castles full of secrets and surprises.
  • Release date: 2013

That’s all we can say for now.  We will try to be more diligent with information, in the very least getting it on our website so that our fans stay up to date.  In the meantime, we have some (pre-alpha) screenshots to share with you.

We wish everyone the best for 2013, and we hope you look forward to the game as much as we do.

Villainous in the News

Hi folks,

We’re hard at work on our next game, but we thought to take a moment and check out Villainous in the news.  Response to the game has been phenomenal, with gamers making it their Pick of the Week, listing it in their Top 5, and overall just giving it some awesome reviews.

We want to thank everyone for their kind words and overwhelming support.  Below is a list of Internet accolades (that we know of) given to Villainous so far.
