We’re still working hard on our latest game, and though we don’t have anything new to show or talk about (Sorry!) the artist for our game recently posted a video showing off his skills in pixel art. It is the fascinating evolution of what begins as a harmless stickman to an incredible and complex portrayal of pixel design. The art is not from our game, but it’s a really nice piece and hopefully it will excite you to see our game, it certainly excites us!

We’d like to wish a happy New Year to everyone who still visits the site (and to those who don’t)! We don’t blame you if your faith in us has wavered, since we’ve been missing for so long.
To (somewhat) make it up to you, we’re starting off the new year with the announcement of our new game! Unfortunately we can’t release all information on it, but we can let loose some details along with some screenshots. It’s a little rough around the edges because it is still heavily a work in progress, but we hope it’s enough to see why we’re so excited for it.
Now for some details:
- 2D action platformer with a pixel-art look and feel.
- Semi-rogue-like gameplay. Your performance has direct consequences on your hero.
- ‘Lineages’ where traits from previous heroes are passed down to your successor.
- Procedurally generated castles full of secrets and surprises.
- Release date: 2013
That’s all we can say for now. We will try to be more diligent with information, in the very least getting it on our website so that our fans stay up to date. In the meantime, we have some (pre-alpha) screenshots to share with you.

Wow, it’s been quite a while since our last post. You can hold off the eulogies though, we’re still alive and well, and believe it or not we’ve been hard at work for the last 8 months. Oddly enough, our first news post after being MIA for so long isn’t even about us. Instead, we want to take this opportunity to let you know a great indie game from our friends at DrinkBox Studios is hitting Steam.
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! comes out today, and it’s totally worth checking out. You can find it at the link to the Steam store below:
As for what’s going on behind the Cellar Door? All we can say is sit tight and stay tuned. Our next project is a big one, and the details will be coming in the next month or two.
Full Disclosure: We’d like to mention that the Game Designer on our team also worked on much of the design to Mutant Blobs Attack. Does that make us biased? Perhaps. Does it make us exploitative? Absolutely. But don’t take our word for it, check out the Metacritic score for the PS Vita version.

The response to Bullet Audyssey has been incredible, with an overwhelming number of people telling us how much they enjoy the music. While we would love to take credit for that, the kudos really belongs to the audio talent residing at Newgrounds.com and Tettix.net. To make the music fit the game though, many songs had to be edited, and all of them lost some quality to fit the game into a manageable size.
